Howdy! It seems that I broke my left big toe. Not a dramatic fracture but a painful and annoying one. I’m staying off my feet until I recover however, I want to keep working on my upper body strength. Also, CrossFit is part of my mental health self care so I don’t want to stop altogether. I am resting and taking it easy as well, I’m aware that healing will happen on its own if I give it time.
So far this is what I am thinking of doing:
Abs – V-ups, abmat, etc GHD – all of them, note to not overload the injured foot Push-ups – on my knees, tempo, hand-release, etc Overhead stability with a kettlebell, nothing that requires walking Resistance exercises with bands – clamshells, pull downs, etc Pistol squats (kidding, that’s just asking for trouble)
Can you think of any other exercises that can help me build my upper body that don’t require to bear weight on my foot?
Thanks in advance!
