I know this has been asked a million times, but what are some of the experiences you all have with different home programming?
Here’s my specific situation: I have been following CrossFit Linchpin since the beginning of 2020 and love it. I think it’s an amazing value, and Pat is awesome. I am consistently getting faster and stronger (when I’m actually being consistent). Pat programs plenty of strength in, but I feel like it’s pretty sporadic and I can’t get really good at specific movements. I was considering running a block of starting strength or the Texas method in conjunction with CrossFit.
Here’s the thing, I think Pat programs enough strength to where it would be hard to ALSO run a strength building program like these. So I was considering Street parking. In the past, I would never try it since it seems so metcon heavy, but would it be the perfect option to run alongside something like starting strength?
What do y’all think. I am gonna stay subscribed to Linchpin, I’m loyal to Pat because of how much I’ve learned. But I think I want to try something different for a couple months?
What do y’all think? What program(s) do y’all recommend? I don’t want to go ALL powerlifting, I just want to focus on those free movements while also keeping my conditioning. Thanks!
