Best way to improve pushups (100 for time)
I just restarted CrossFit after a two year break after an injury. My numbers are sooo low. Just did 100 PU for time at the beginning of the year (7:52) and now I tried it again after two rest days. (7:39) It‘s an improvement but barely. I think it‘s just because I knew what to beat. I set out to do sets of 5 every 20 seconds but couldn‘t keep the pace after around 60.. Building home gym for CrossFit, low ceilings
Hi all. Looking for some advice. My garage, where I’d like to build my home gym, has 100” (8’ 4”) ceilings. As of today I can’t really raise them up higher (might be an option for the future). What have you all done in your garage setup? Mostly interested in the rack for any overhead lifts. I’m 6’1. For the box jumps I can just set that up outside. Want to add in hypertrophy program, but is it too much?
Hi, has anyone added lifting days to their weekly WODs? I’m considering Renaissance Periodization physique training 2-3 days a week. Has anyone gone from zero squat mobility, to acing full snatches?
I've been doing crossfit for about 3.5 years now. Since day one I've had squat and shoulder issues - I couldn't get to parallel in an air squat, and even superman holds were a stretch for my shoulders. This has cause headaches when trying to do full snatches. For the past 2.5 years I've been doing lots of extra mobility, drills, and 1 on 1 coaching outside of class. Shoulder Joints and Kipping
I switched to Crossfit in October after a decade of traditional lifting and Kickboxing/Muay Thai. My lifts have all exploded as well as my lean mass/BF ratio so Im very happy. During my entire lifting career I avoided certain overhead movements because my shoulders are prone to dislocation, diagnosed literally as having 'very loose joints'. Doing Crossfit with big boobs…
I have been doing Crossfit for over 2 years now. I absolutely love it, but my larger than normal boobs have made it very uncomfortable for a lot of the movements. I have struggled to find a sports bra that has coverage, enough compression, etc. I have basically been wearing two bras which is not comfortable. Encountered a bully situation at my local CrossFit, curious how would folks would have handled this. Backstory ...
